Late for Labor Day
San Keller might be late for Labor Day, but he’s never late for work. The artist’s first Latin American retrospective will showcase a body of work full of wit, humor, and a keen sense for letting art take over everyday situations. Over the course of four days in San José, the artist will revive performances inspired by specific workplaces, joining forces with a hairdresser, a physical therapist, a bar owner, a merchant, and even local cops.

“San Keller, who was born in Bern 1971, is one of the most important Swiss artists of today. Indeed, his participatory and ephemeral actions, as well as his poetic, humorous and utterly singular objects have helped him gain an outstanding reputation not only in his own country, but also abroad.”
